Fashions change from season to season, and sometimes it can be hard to keep up. Many fashion houses collaborate with each other on previous season’s fashion trends to come up with new ones for the upcoming season. You can follow along by tracking the patterns from one season to the next.

One of the easiest ways to track fashion trends is to read trend reports. Many fashion magazines and websites keep you up-to-date by providing the latest trends as well as upcoming trends from different fashion houses, including clothing, shoe, and accessory trends. You can be one step ahead of others when it’s time to shop for the new season.

Another way to track fashion trends is to follow RSS feeds of your favorite fashion blogs. This way you’ll receive updated information as soon as it’s reported. For instance, if the blog is reporting on the release date of a certain fashion company’s line, you can be first in line to buy it. You may also be able to get some great deals if you are able to act quickly at some of your favorite fashion boutiques.

And speaking of boutiques, your favorite may have a customer appreciation membership you can apply for to be first in line to hear news of new items arriving and special deals. This will allow you to grab the new line at great prices.

By tracking seasonal fashion trends, you can become a trendsetter yourself, and be the envy of all of your friends.

Being a fashionista isn’t easy. You must stay informed of the latest fashion trends while ensuring you don’t spend each month’s salary trying to look trendy. If your budget simply won’t allow you to purchase all pieces from the collections of your favorite designer, consider only purchasing the less expensive items they’ve designed.

Here are three clothing items from a designer’s line to include in your next purchase. These items rarely go out of fashion and can be the perfect pieces to help you save more while looking super trendy.

Scarves

Scarves rarely go out of style. A scarf can act as the perfect addition to a basic t-shirt and jeans combo. It can also play down a dressy outfit on an evening out on the town. Scarves are great designer pieces to purchase because they can serve as an outfit focal point while saving you more money.

Light Jackets

Light jackets aren’t only stylish, they’re also practical. While this can be a slightly more expensive designer purchase, a high quality designer jacket can last for many years and won’t go out of style if chosen correctly. Keep your eyes open for great deals on http://www.offers.com to save more on this purchase.

High Heels

Sure, high heels aren’t practical for all occasions but they can be the perfect accessory to an outfit that’s lacking your usual pizzazz. A pair of sexy high heels can transform even the most drab of outfits into a trendy fashion statement that will turn heads. If there’s one designer piece to have in your closet, it’s a great pair of heels.

If you want to become a fashion designer, you would have known it in your childhood itself. Fashion designing is a highly creative profession. A fashion designing career is illustrious.

You just need to have a sense for colors, proportions, designs, and structural thought. All these are very intellectual attributes, and very rare ones.

You would know if you like fashion if:

You love clothes. You love colors. You notice things about people clothes that other people would not notice.

You have an intricate understanding of colors, textures. You love faces. You can remember faces well. You sketch faces.

You love photography. You love people. You love beautiful people. You love their inner and outer beauty. You want to make them more beautiful given a chance.

The life of a fashion designer is not easy. There is a lot of competition out there. You need to be the best at what you are good at. As a fashion designer you are expected to innovate all the time. You are expected to have a sense of fashion that is unique to you. The more unique your fashion is, the better your chances of getting recognized.

Now the trend has moved away and back to commercial fashion. Previously, it was more about self-expression and abstract fashion. On account of losses, many designer outlets want fashion designer to create simple works that make people beautiful. People are still reluctant to buy stuff that is abstract and a piece of art and wear it on them. They want clothes that are conventional, yet futuristic.

Summer is a great season for a lot of things. Getting eaten alive by bugs, feeling like the sun is trying to set you on fire and getting so sweaty that it feels like you’ve gone swimming in your clothes are just a few of the great joys of the season. However, you can still stay cool if you know how to dress the right way. It ultimately comes down to layering and how you carry it off.

For one thing, a fresh set of Coogi clothes can do wonders for your look. While a lot of people think that wearing long pants and hoodies are completely antithetical to staying cool, this isn’t always the case. For one thing, lighter colors reflect off a lot of the sun’s rays, which let you stay a lot cooler. Also, sometimes having well-ventilated layers can keep some cool air space between your skin and the great oven that is the summer sun. If you have air conditioning too, this makes it even easier to keep up your image while your body stays comfortable.

Just keep in mind that staying cool during the hot months doesn’t mean you have to walk around in swim trunks and a wife beater. While that’s okay if you’re on the beach or sitting around the house, you still have to keep up some kind of an image. Unless you want to spend the hot nights sleeping by yourself, you have to keep looking good. And an important part of looking good involves covering yourself in solid fashion, regardless of heat.

Fashion is formed of rules endless laws and seasonal requirements. Trying to decipher these can prove to be a challenge, however. Creating a personal style that adheres to the (many) guidelines seems to be impossible.

It is not.

It simply requires an understanding of the basics:

Fabric Selection

There’s one concept that defines seasonal shopping fabrics. All other elements disappear in the wake of materials and their meanings. The functionality of an outfit relies on the cloth it’s formed of; pieces must reflect the weather. Spring and summer should boast lightweight fibers (cotton, linen, silk). Autumn and winter demand heavy items (wool, denim, angora). This is a rule that cannot be ignored.

Accessory Decisions

No outfit is complete without accessories. Style is not meant to be singular; it is instead to be supported. Choosing the correct form of support demands care, however. The winter season favors hard materials (such as silver, diamonds or the elegance of an engagement ring). Colors tend to be neutral and lines are sharp. Summer, however, features whimsical designs, with pieces drenched in polka dots, metallic shimmers, and more. The materials also tend to be unique, with bamboo, hemp and more considered.

Color Possibilities

The seasons are laced with colors. Warm months are meant to embrace primary hues; cold days are meant to offer somber neutrals. This notion is universally accepted. It simply can also be refused. Choosing colors, patterns and more for the seasons is a matter of personal opinion. As long as the tones are woven within appropriate fabrics they can be selected. There’s no need for limitations.

These fashion suggestions will help all individuals master the seasons.

Summer is on its way. It is time to put away the boots and the heavy dark jackets of winter, and let the colors of Summer out. It is time for some bright sunshine to make its way into the wardrobe; time to feel the warm colors of a soft summer night.

Put away the sweats and pull out the summer wear. Leave the winter clothes behind and bringing out the spring and summer wardrobe, the one that has been waiting since last year to come out and play. If your wardrobe needs a little freshening, or maybe some replacement parts, a shopping trip may be in order.

With stars like LL Cool J, Ice T, Jay Z, Russel Simmons, and Vivica Fox, Coogi has proven itself to be a front runner in Urban clothing. With bright colors and signature patterns, it’s easy to get a wardrobe for a fun-in-the-sun summer. Shop for the patterns and colors that reflect who you are and the statement you want to make. Take advantage of shopping online. Partner that with one of the most famous names in designer clothing and the fact that so many a-list stars are sporting Coogi this summer, and we have the makings of a fabulous summer.

Summer will be over before we know it, and it will be time to put the bright colors away until next year. So make the most of your warm weather wardrobe. Let the sun shine in and let the summer begin.

Getting ready for the warmer weather means a complete throwing over of the heavy clothes of winter and early spring. Hang up the down jackets, put away the sweaters, and hide the boots. It is time to embrace the sun and take advantage of the longer days with a fresh wardrobe.

Summer is a time for purging your closet of the old to make room for the new. There is always a bunch of items that were put away last year for wearing the next. But do you really want to keep a garment or pair of shoes a year later? Consider the fact that some clothing items can stick around from year to year, others should be thrown out and replacements bought.

Items to hang on to are good shorts, light cotton shirts, sandals that are still in good shape, and a rain coat. None of these clothing items will ever go out of style, regardless of color or print. Summer is a time to be bold, so don’t discard a pair of shorts or a good shirt just because it is on the bright side.

Don’t try to keep items that are made poorly and didn’t cost that much to begin with. Some t-shirts will hold up over time, but ones made with fine knit fall apart faster than “beefy” t-shirts. Also replace the bathing suit, especially if you swim frequently in a pool. Chlorine eats away at the fibers, causing them to break apart and wear thin.

Clearing out the old for the new is an enjoyable activity. So don’t put it off. Do it before summer arrives.

The beat generation rose up out of a post-WWII generation. Many of those in the beat movement came to be referred to as beatniks. Although the term was not popular amongst those within the beat generation itself.

In popular culture, a beatnik is portrayed as a black clad, poetry reciting, red wine drinking bohemian. However there is a lot more involved in the beat generation in terms of politics, sexuality, creativity and fashion. Those referred to as beatniks are commonly thought of as the more suburban version of the more hardcore members of the beat generation.

Beatniks were the first form of hippies. The style of the beat generation was much more relaxed than the generations before. Men grew out their beards so they were wild and woolly. Women were liberated from wearing bras and shaving their legs. There is the usual stereotype of black turtlenecks and berets. However beatnik fashion also encompassed striped shirts, over-sized sweaters and cowl-collared tops. These styles were popular amongst both sexes.

Young women often wore jersey with short collars. The beatnik look is when slim-fit pants became popular, think Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. The slim fit black pants were often teamed with a short-sleeved sweater. Pencil skirts were also favoured by the females in this fashion generation.

Men didn’t stray too far from previous generations when it came to beatnik fashion. Tailored slacks were still popular, however they were worn more casually, with either short-sleeved shirts or t-shirts. Some men even took the plunge and experimented with black tight fitting pants, thought this was mainly worn by the female beatniks of the time.

To design for an established brand a degree is usually a must. Fashion degrees are being obtained not only in the traditional setting but also there are many accredited online degrees available for pursuit. Most established brands will require a degree, experience or both.

Job opportunities via an established brand may come in the form of an internship. Internships usually pay in experience vs. money but they are well worth the effort. Interns may do a variety of work and it may not always be glamorous work but the experience and life lessons obtained are more valuable than any money that could be gained.

Established brands are usually the trend setters for the fashion world. This is exciting to the designers because they have the opportunity to dictate the next exciting thing fashion world. They have available all the colors that can be thought of and many materials to work with.

Of course valuable experience is also available by designing for an established brand. Stop and think of the brands you are familiar with such as Channel, Ralph Lauren or Guess. These firms have a head designer as well as a huge team of designers which have valuable advice and skills to teach.

Designing for an established brand can be a great education and experience.

Ever heard of Karen Walker? World? Icebreaker? Because they are just some of the New Zealand designer labels making a splash on the world stage with their inimitable style.

The tiny country at the bottom of the globe has a reputation for punching above its weight, and kiwi designers are no different. One example, Wellington’s Rebecca Taylor, has dressed stars such as Ashley Judd and Cameron Diaz since she moved to New York in 1992, and has opened two boutiques in the city.

And New Zealand fashion designers aren’t limited to the ready-to-wear and high fashion scenes either. Icebreaker, designer and manufacturer of merino wool outdoor clothing, sources 80% of its revenue from exports, according to IBM Business Insight. It has developed a reputation for being the high-end clothing of choice for the gear- and outdoor fashion-conscious alike.

New Zealand fashion tends towards a funky, layered look – a reflection of the ‘four seasons in one day’ weather – often incorporating strong cultural themes from the indigenous Maori population and neighboring Pacific Island traditions. Flirty and feminine fashions, produced by designers such as Trelise Cooper and Kate Sylvester, stand alongside the darker, more ‘gothic’ attitudes of Nom’D and the masculine designs of Zambesi.

With an increasing international interest in New Zealand emerging designer shows such as Dunedin Fashion Week, and continuing acclaim for the talent coming out of the country that inspired the creatives on Lord of the Rings, foreign fashionistas can look forward to an ongoing – if small and highly select – presence on runways and in magazines from New Zealand designers.

The casual style used to be reserved mainly for weekends, after work hours and on summer vacation for those who work a 40 hour week. Over time, this has changed to a great degree as designers have started to slowly meld more formal fashions with casual styles. This has relaxed the standard black, dark blue, gray and similar tones to include more brighter colors and nontraditional fabrics for the work week. Major designers have had enormous fun incorporating jeans, untucked shirts and a variety of past formal wear taboos into one style.

This pattern has become very popular with the college students across the country and has its greatest example roaring of flip-flops. Younger people can be seen wearing these sandals with dress slacks and button ups, formal dresses and just about any kind of outfit that you can think of. The young men were loose ties and shirttails hanging out as part of the hip style. This transition has been an interesting clash of past generations with new trendier styles. Those wanting to dress this way simply have to take their wardrobe and loosen it up. Another aspect of this trend is to wear T-shirts with suit jackets, tennis shoes and jeans. This grand remix of the fashion wardrobe has created a whole new imaginative playground for fashion designers to play and create in.

Blue is one of the many colors that transitions well throughout all of the fashion seasons of the year. Shoppers find its most common appearance in the wide array of blue jeans that are found in retail stores. It is also a color that blends well with other fabrics of various textures, from cotton to wool and silk. The darker tones of blue are best for the fall and winter in the heavier fabrics of coats, pants and sweaters. In the summer it transitions into light blues and pastel shades that are perfect for sundresses, pullovers and shorts.

Darker blue is a standard coloring for business attire in men’s and women’s styles. Men’s suits and ties reflect this in the more white collar jobs such as law, medicine and business. It goes well with white and other solids but is also versatile in print patterns as well. Darker and light shades of blue are often mixed to give a warm yet striking effect. When it comes to casual wear, blue is the favorite for many shoppers, especially when it comes to button ups, polos and t-shirts.

It is another color that can fade with repeated washings, depending on the manufacturer of the clothing. With proper care, though, it can have a long life of pure bright color. As fashion continues to evolve over time, blue will continue to be a favorite color for those who love it best and make it a part of their wardrobe.

Regardless of the time of year, red is a popular choice for both designers and shoppers to add to their wardrobe. Its shade transition well with the seasons, from dark mauve of fall to the brighter tones of spring and summer. The color also goes well with a variety of fabrics and styles, both formal and casual. Red button ups are perfect with jeans or dress slacks, depending on the occasion. Red also adds a festive nature to the wearer, giving them a sense of adventure and daring that is not found with other colors. Wearers have to be careful when putting shades together, as a darker red will clash terribly with a lighter, pinker shade. Designers love to use red stripes, polka dots and other interpretations in their designs. A small splash of red in an outfit can go a long way. The most daring examples are ones such as red leather jackets and bright red stiletto boots, only worn by the adventurous shopper.

Wearers do have to be careful with red dyes in some cotton clothes, as it can fade with washing. With careful maintenance the color can stay bright for a long time. A formal outfit can have a more festive look with the addition of a red tie or a red scarf, especially when wearing a solid color such as black or navy blue. “Power ties” are often adorned with red stripes or other designs, giving the wearing the impression of a forward thinking individual.

As fall and winter approach, the light and airy closing of the summer months is packed away and traded for thicker fabrics decked out in dark shades. Fabrics such as wool and heavy cotton become the predominant choices for people to keep warm in. Wool is excellent for its ability to retain warmth, wick away moisture and last for years. Sweaters, slacks and coats made of wool are perfect choices to stay warm and in style. Cotton shirts are worn mainly as layers under sweaters in button ups, t-shirts and turtle necks. These are great for adding accents to your outfit and to allow you to keep out the cold.

Suede leather is a popular style for its warmth and look, but the owner has to be careful when having it cleaned. Sweaters, especially wool pullovers, are a popular look not only for the quality of the workmanship but also for the long lasting durability of the material. Italian wool is an excellent choice and well worth the investment as it provides the wearer with years of use. The colors for this season are primarily gray, black, navy blue, mauve and similar shades. These blend well together and make for a very versatile wardrobe.

Navy pea coats have become a fashionable style, both for their warmth and ability to be worn with both casual and formal attire. Men and women both can be seen in this fashion. Additionally, women have begun to wear boots more often, decked in leather.

When the spring season rolls around, people start changing their wardrobes over from the dark colors and thick fabrics of the winter months. These darker shades are traded for lighter tones and pastels that resonate the positive, bright and warm nature of the season. Those dressing for their best during this time of year want to focus on clothing that are white and predominantly mixed with lighter tones. Women can dress cool and comfortable in capris, jeans, t-shirts, light cotton slacks, sleeveless shirts, sun dresses and airy skirts that ripple with the breeze. Cotton is the preferred fabric this time of year due to its lightweight nature and its ability to let the body breathe.

Men can dress for the spring season in cargo shorts, cotton button ups, lightweight slacks, jeans, polo shirts and t-shirts. T-shirts this season have a predominant focus on imagery of all sorts and cargo pants are also very popular this time of year. Both men and women will be seen in flip-flops and slip on shoes, which allow the feet to breathe. Sandals will also be worn quite a bit, varying from sport models to more stylish renditions. Some bold individuals will mix in some dark colors with their spring wardrobe that will go quite well with jeans, slacks or shorts. The relaxed, casual look is the way to go for spring.

Many people will be shocked to see the 50-70’s fashions are making a comeback. You can safely pull your vintage clothes out of the attic or storage this season. This also means we will be seeing clogs and kitten heels for footwear. When you step out this spring, do not think you have been transformed back to the 50-70’s era. It is just the spring fashion season.

Yes, this includes bell-bottoms and high-wasted jeans. Hopefully, the teenagers won’t freak out too bad. They are clearly not use to high-wasted jeans, since they enjoy their low-riders. Parents will be glad to see their teenagers not showing their underwear when bending over. Maybe this will be a trend that last for more than one season.

People are looking forward to the free spirit of the 70’s style. Loose fitting clothes and colors will certainly catch the eye. There will be some people who will oppose the 70’s fashion style. For those not interested in the 70’s, they will enjoy seeing the glamour of 50’s and 60’s. This will give people the elegant feel of that era.

The military look is out, but the biker look is rocking the runways. Leather will never go out of style. Crochet and tassels are coming back in style this season. Many people do not care for the tassel look, so we will have to wait and see how long it will last.

Other spring fashions are lace clothing to give an antique or vintage look. Crop tops are trying to make a comeback, which we will see more in the summer months. Capri’s are in this spring. Accessories that top off the outfits are the vintage-inspired 50’s and 60’s cat eye sunglasses. The belt purse is pushing its way into this spring’s fashion.

Men’s fashion suits will change slightly, but the most significant change will be to wide-legged pants or jeans. The biker look will be the best change of the season. Many have already complimented on this look.

In Toronto, there is a fashion and textile district. Historically, it has been the home to a lot of the textile industry in that city. Now, a lot of the manufacturers have moved out. That’s not really a big problem, though, because there are still plenty of high quality, custom textile producers who are always up on the latest patterns and the latest trends. Any DIY fashionistas who like to design and create their own clothing will want to take full advantage of the incredible textiles that are available in the district.

There’s a lot more to see there, though, and it’s not just clothing and fabrics. The district is also home to many great cafes and restaurants that can be found by using Canada 411. That way, you’ll be sure to get the latest and greatest options, and you’ll have the chance to sample some cuisine that you might not get if you don’t go to that particular district. It’s a great idea to explore a lot of different places in Toronto, so that you really see what the city is all about. The textile district is a big part of the city, of course, which is why there are so many restaurants and cafes moving into the area.

Be sure that you check into the options you have when it comes to enjoying Canada. There’s so much to do in and around the Toronto area, and if you like fashion, the fashion and textile district is definitely the place to be. The many companies and manufacturers that still call that area home will be happy to see you, and you can get some great finds while you’re there – along with enjoying lunch, taking a stroll, and just generally exploring all that Toronto has to offer to people who come to visit.

Whether discussing mens or ladies styles of clothing, they can almost always be distinguished by season. This type of classification drives supply chain choices from designer and manufacturer all the way to the consumer. When the seasons change, retailers can bring in new merchandise. New merchandise can bring in new customers or regular customers that require fresh wardrobe additions for an upcoming season.

The design process for a line of clothing could start a year or more before the clothing is actually sold by a retailer. The manufacturer needs time to complete the design and costing process and then the actual manufacturing and logistics to get the product to the actual retailers. It is not uncommon for winter coats to be designed in the summertime to allow time for a new product to land in a retailer’s outlet.

Retailers and consumers work together to make room for the new fashions when the seasons change. Retailers often make the bulk of their profits on a seasonal line of clothing at the beginning of that season. This is when supply and demand is at its highest. Price would also be at its highest. When the end of the summer or fall, for instance comes around, the retailer must make room for the new lines. This is when deeply discounted sales can take place to make this room.

If one can afford to buy at the end of the season there can be some great bargains at retailers. There may not be much time to wear these items when we don’t buy by the season but there may be opportunities to wear these fashions during the next year or years to come.

One way to differentiate when shopping for airplanes is by material. The type of material used in construction of airplanes can have a significant impact on cost and safety. The skin or outside material for aircraft construction has many criteria to meet and different substances contribute different costs and benefits.

Vintage aircraft utilize a fabric design. The wings and fuselage use fabric covering a frame of lightweight metal or even wood. This type of design can be inexpensive compared to other types of construction. An advantage of this type of aircraft is the extremely light weight of the fabric. This allows manufacturers to add more weight in items like bigger, more powerful engines. There is always a battle of keeping the weight of an airplane below certain limits to enhance range and safety.

Another material used in airplane construction is fiberglass or composite substances. These substances can be extremely lightweight and strong when compared to fabric. A drawback is in the construction process. Special tools and equipment is needed to build and repair this type of airplane skin. The fabric design, mentioned above, needs only scissors and glue, with some skills, to build or repair. Another advantage to composite materials is their strength. Many composite constructed airplanes can withstand icing conditions and lightning strikes.

Choosing and airplane by material that it is built from is a basic starting point when considering airplane ownership. The factors that drive this type of decision come from the intended uses of the plane. How long will most flights be? How many passengers and cargo need to be flown? All of these can drive the ultimate decision of the type of aircraft to purchase.

These days everyone is looking for a deal wherever they can get it. There are plenty of people who realize that the best place to look for a deal is online. Companies, especially fashion companies, have concentrated all their efforts to online shopping. There are plenty of stores from which to buy the latest clothes and accessories for rock bottom prices.

If you are a deal-conscious shopper, you should get interested in buying your clothes online, not just for the savings on the clothes themselves, but for the free giveaways. There used to be a time when a giveaway was scoffed at. It was something that symbolized a token effort by the retailer to thank you for your service.

These days, the competitive world of online fashion has caused retailers to up their game and give you better giveaways than you have ever imagined. Many companies are giving out things like credit cards and prepaid credit cards as a way to thank customers for their shopping. Of course, these cards are always used to encourage customers to give that money right back to the store. Many times, the use of that same prepaid card is offered with a steep discount on products.

No matter what the free gift is, it’s a step up from the norm, and it’s up to you to take advantage of the situation. For instance, going to the front page of most fashion retailers’ websites should tell you if there is anything going on in the way of savings.

There are also sites that aggregate such information out so that you can go to one place to find the savings. Some places are even giving away cars if you meet specified purchasing amounts. Don’t waste a second ignoring these retailers. The best thing you can do is start looking online to find the best fashion deals. You never know what you are going to walk away with.

Designing cars is a tough business. Staying ahead of trends is vital to success. When trends are identified they must be translated into vehicle plans right away because testing and certification for safety must take place before large-scale production can begin. This process could take up to three years or more for a new style to get from concept to showroom.

Consumer preference is one factor in the process of automotive design. Domestic manufacturers often introduce styles that are similar to high-end European cars. US buyers have a long history of purchasing cars that mimic foreign models because domestically produced vehicles can cost the consumer significantly less. Preference can also be tied to fuel prices. This variable is not easy to predict. Historical analysis shows that consumers buy vehicles with good fuel economy when prices for fuel are high. The cycle continues when gasoline prices fall. Consumers tend to buy larger vehicles that may not be as efficient when gasoline prices are low.

Regulations are another consideration for US automotive plans. There are numerous regulations relating to safety and crashworthiness that must be satisfied before a new type of vehicle can be marketed and sold. There are minimum standards that must be met to protect the public at a reasonable level. US manufacturers must also satisfy rules concerning average mileage and efficiency figures for the entire line of products that they sell. There are limits that prevent one company from producing too many vehicles that are not considered to be efficient.

A lot goes into the development of new vehicles. Both consumers and regulators must be satisfied. This is a big challenge to auto designers.

This year finger nails have become pieces of art. On the runways and all over the fashion world amazing, creative nail fashion is appearing. Models flashing fingers of gold and silver that totally catch your eye. Others with gems and rhinestones that dress up the hands. The colors and designs that are appearing are totally amazing.

Maybe you would like to recreate a few of these hot new ideas and wonder where to start. First be sure your nails are in good condition. Take time to clean and moisturize them. Rub a moisturizer into the nail and cuticle. Trim the nail and file away any roughness on the tips shaping the nails. Use a nail buff to smooth the nail bed. Now you are ready to start creating pieces of art.

Now it is time to decide what kind of art work you would like to put on your finger nails. There are many trends out there, choose one that you like or create your own.

The french tip, one that has been around for a while, is a good stand by and easy to do. Paint the nail one color and them hit the very tips with white or another light color. Very clean and sophisticated looking.

The moon manicure is one that you might consider. Sort of a reverse of the french tip, the crescent of the nail is painted one color and the rest of the nail another. This is very big with the teenagers.

Gold nails are so totally sexy and great for a hot date. A clear base coat is applied and then gold leaf is applied while still wet. The nails have a shiny, glamorous look just right for a night on the town. Silver is another metallic that might catch your fancy, look for it in the polishes.

Polka dots and strips are another big trend this year. Both make for a playful twist of fun for the finger tips.

Allow those fingers to be a thing of beauty. With a little hard work you also could have artwork on your finger tips.

Spring and Summer are on the way. After a long winter of wearing boots and heavy shoes your feet are going to appreciate the freedom that comes with lighter footwear. Many of us women turn to opened toed shoes, sandals, flip flops and the good old bare foot when the warmer season arrives. Your toes are probably wiggling in anticipation at the thought of the feel of sand and grass on them again.

Your foot is one of the most used parts of your body. If left uncared for, your feet can look rough and very unsexy. Due to extreme use it could lead to problems down the road.

Now is the time to get those tired tootsies prepared to make their grand entrance into the season. There are a few things to consider as you get ready:

1. Keep your toes and feet clean and dry. If you do not it could lead to fungus and bacteria. This in turn leads to cracks and itchy skin, very painful and unattractive.

2. Moisturize , your feet. Most people do not think of doing this, but with the rough treatment that your feet go through every day they deserve to be pampered a little. Moisturizing will bring softness and nourishment to your feet. A little trick that helps with extra dry feet is to put a heavy duty moisturizer on at night with a pair of socks and wear to bed. This allows the moisturizer to really sink in.

3.Remember to keep those nails trimmed. Cut them straight across to keep from getting those painful in grown toe nails. If you are having a problem with toe fungus try this; rub Vicks around the infected toe at night and put on a pair of socks to wear to bed. After a few weeks you should see a difference.

4.Paint those nails ladies. Whether you like them natural and put on a few coats of clear polish or go for some of those sexy new colors of 2011. Make those toes look beautiful

With a little forsight and care your feet can be in great shape for the coming warm season. Start preparing now

In Spring 2011 it appears bigger is better in every area of style. Bigger hats, headbands, handbags and even jewelry are on the scene for this year. Whether necklaces, earrings, or bangles you are going to want to get a few of these pieces for yourself.

Animal prints are showing up on jewelry as well as clothing, so make sure you check some of them out. Match an animal print bangle or necklace with a black dress for a perfect match.

Bib necklaces are a must this season. The bigger the better. You will see them everywhere. Strands of chains or intricate geographical patterns hanging low onto the chest. Chokers, for those who are not comfortable with the long necklace, are still in. Look for chokers in metals or lovely beads. There is something for everyone, find your style and make it work for you.

If have had an eye to the runways this year you may have noticed the big chunky bangles. Often in vibrant, eye-popping colors, there is something for the taste of everyone. Made of wood, metals, plastic or costume jewelry you can find something to go with any outfit you have. Many of the pieces have that Bohemian 70′s look that is so totally in this season.

Earrings, a woman’s best friend, have even changed up a bit also. Dangling drop earrings are the must have this season. Coming in many types and styles they add sophistication to any outfit. Whether a night on the town or a day in the office. There are many lovely pieces in burnished metal or stone.

Don’t forget to look at the brooches, rings or watches, they have a style all their own too. Any of which could enhance the beauty of your outfit. Again, bigger is better. You may have noticed the large rings many of the celebs are wearing.

Be careful to not over do it with to much accessorizing though. One BIG accent piece at a time. To much tends to appear gaudy.

Urban and hip-hop fashion originated in the counter-culture movement of the 1970s in New York. This time, the counter-culture wasn’t made of disillusioned college youth protesting an unpopular war, but the young adults in the inner city who felt trapped by their circumstances. Like most young rebels, their frustration came out in the form of music and dance, and the hip-hop genre was born.

Celebrity Status

As the music industry saw a new opportunity for advancing their financial cause, they began to sign the best and the brightest from the hip-hop scene to lucrative music deals. Some business-savvy artists formed their own label to retain creative control over their work. Regardless of the behind-the-scenes workings of the music business, these amazing musicians soon rose to fame and celebrity status. As the youth of America observed their style of dress, a new sector in the fashion industry was created in parallel with the edgy music. As demand grew, so did the variety and brand names available to the average consumer.

Celebrity Endorsements

The history of hip-hop music wouldn’t be complete without a discussion of the history of urban fashion. Because traditional designers weren’t quite right when they attempted to match the original styles of club-goers, the celebrities stepped in to fill this market. The hip-hop fans clamored to buy the exact same clothing that their music icons both wore and designed. Just imagine going to see a Jay-Z concert while wearing an outfit from his Rocawear line of hip-hop apparel! Whether you are a suburban wanna-be or an authentic inner-city kid, nothing could make the experience more complete. Other brands designed by big names in the hip-hop industry include Dereon, Phat Farm, and Apple bottoms.

Although these styles are directed at the young and trendy, almost anyone can find something they like about urban fashion. These clothes are well made, affordable, comfortable, and trendy. What more could you ask for in your choice of clothing?

As you are out purchasing pieces for your wardrobe this Spring don’t forget to consider something for your head. Head accessories are back and lovelier than ever. Many of our old stand bys are back with a new twist.

Hats are back, coming in many different styles. Some designers feel the bigger and floppier the better. Wide felt hats paired with an animal print scarf are a favorite. Great for a Sunday morning outing or a nice garden party. Fedora’s are back too, in felt or a macrame weave, there are many different styles. Great for dressing up or dressing down.

Bandanas are back with that country girl feel. They give the wearer a look of freshness and innocence. Wear printed or plain, anything goes. Paired with a pair of jeans or even a short outfit the bandana will give that little extra something.

The turban could be used in either a casual or formal setting. There are some beautiful designs out there to chose from. Printed or plain, the turban will dress up any outfit.

Headbands are another head piece that has gone through some changes. The usual headband piece is still acceptable, but there is so much more to chose from. The style for this year is a 70′s retro, worn on the top of the forehead giving that Bohemian look. Whether a scarf that you might already have or a brand new piece take advantage of this retro style. The new pieces come in many different designs: feathery, glittery, even flowers attached. Whatever catches your fancy and matches your outfit, go for it.

Don’t be afraid to give the Spring styles a try. Pair a wide brim floppy hat with a turban underneath, add some cat-eye sunglasses and you will be styling. Try something new, find that little something that will allow your beauty to shine through.

The fashion season of 2011 is off and running. The choices of colors are lovely. If you have been anywhere near the mall or a clothing store you have seen the must have styles and colors. We have such interesting offerings from the color palette this season that draw from both warm and cool tones.

The designers this Spring have combined colors from the opposite sides of the color wheel to complement each other. This is great for those who have been saving money. You could pair something you bought in the Fall with something new you buy for this Spring. The designers must have been thinking of the economy when they chose.

The color of the year is Honeysuckle. A very pinkish red color Honeysuckle brings a feeling of warmth and life.

Coral Rose is a spicy orange color. Though a Fall color, it looks great in this color frame.

The green for this Spring is called Peapod, a soft pale green. It reminds of Spring and new plants.

Beeswax, the color of warm honey or curry, is a yellow that is warm and soft.

A reminder of the sun shinging off the clouds shows up in a color called Silver Peony.

Russet, a brown earthy color that you may already have in your wardrobe.

If you are looking for a cool, color, Regatta is for you. The color of the sky on a clear summer day so refreshing.

Blue Curacao brings images of the Caribbean Sea. It is a turquoise color with a tropical feel.

A very pale Lavender also lends a nice cool feel. Reminds you of the romance of Spring.

To round our color group out we have a Silver Cloud a very soft grey. Silver Cloud will go with anything.

These are the top ten colors of Spring 2011. Pick out a few lovely items to add to your wardrobe.

Spring and summer fashion this year is all about lightness and freedom. Lightness of weight and freedom to move freely. This year macrame and crochet pieces are back, both are perfect for that summer, beach like look and feel.

Macrame, a throw-back to the 1970′smany may remember creating some of those art pieces as a child. An art form that uses knots to create designs using string. Macrame is showing up all over the fashion world. Woven shoes, bags, dresses, even bikinis have appeared on the fashion scene using this art form. Expect to see macrame in the clothes as well as the accessories. Long hanging fringe from dresses and jackets will be the item this Spring. Macrame necklaces and bracelets will complete and complement outfits.

Crocheted items are also on the scene. You may remember your Grandmother crocheting blankets. The ccrocheting used in this year’s fashion scene is more delicate and lace like, giving it a lighter feel. Crocheted items are appearing in dresses, jackets, and handbags. Many beautiful evening dresses have also appeared on the cat walks.

The color palette for both macrame and crochet items lies mostly in the earth tones, with browns, creams, greens and oranges in particular. Many of the pieces available have that 1970′s hippie feel to them, retro is so totally today.

. As we all know it is not too early to start shopping for our Spring and Summer wardrobes. As you are out shopping take a look at the offering of macrame and crochet pieces, both have an elegant, sexy feel to them. Whatever you decide on, make sure you pick up a few of the accessories to accent your outfit. If you are feeling extremely adventurous try and find a pattern or design that you could create yourself.
